My Fave⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Loc Product

Updated: Sep 1, 2020

Today, I’m officially 14 weeks loc’d!🎉 Where has the time gone?! I guess the cliche’ time flies when you’re having fun is true.

As promised, I’m going to let you in on my fave loc product line. Prior to starting my locs, I bought and read books about locs, watched vlogs, tutorials, etc. While reading a chapter in one of the books, the author had a list of recommendations for loc products. I’d heard the brand mentioned in several vlogs, so I checked into it.

As a loose natural, I’d learned the usages and importance of carrier oils, emollients, the LOC method (leave-in conditioner, oil, cream) and reading the ingredients on the loc label, got my attention! The product line consisted of moisturizing oils that my hair loved and I was hooked. It has hair loving carrier oils like Grapeseed oil, Jojoba oil, and Argan oil, just to name a few.

The brand is Dr. Locs: Pre-Cleanse, Shampoo, Leave-In Conditioner (that can be used for locs or loose naturals), Locking Spray, and Oil (that can be used on the hair, scalp, and as a hot oil treatment). Since this would be my second set of starter locs (due to the COVID-19 lockdown in March that halted my first locs), I wanted to make sure to have product at home in case I had to loc or retwist my own hair. I didn’t want to buy the entire full size of the products (in case it didn’t mesh well with my hair type) and fortunately, Dr. Locs offers a trial size of the entire line for $25.

Thankfully, NC didn’t go back into lockdown. Salons remained open and I was able to have my starter locs done by my Loctician. My Loctician also liked Dr. Locs and now she uses and sells it in her salon.

Dr. Locs leaves my locs and scalp squeaky clean. My locs are light and moisturized and they’re growing like weeds. If you’re loc’d or considering loc’ing, try the trial size of Dr. Locs and see how it works for you. Dr. Locs gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me (and no, I’m not being paid or incentivized to say this, I’m saying it because it’s true). Click on my IG page to see a video of how my hair flows.

Until next time (more than likely tomorrow), stay safe and make your day great (it’s your choice).
